Lingyu (Miranda) Zhou

Miranda is a Paralegal at Ascent Lawyers, known for her warm manner, precise attention to detail, and calm approach to matters that can feel technical or unfamiliar. 

A Queensland University of Technology graduate, Miranda was awarded the Carter Newell Lawyers Prize for achieving the highest score in Tort Law. She also brings over nine years of experience as a NAATI-certified professional interpreter, providing legal and medical interpretation across Queensland’s courts and tribunals — a background that has sharpened her cultural sensitivity, precision, and ability to communicate clearly across complex situations. 

Known for active listening and practical, tailored support, Miranda ensures clients feel heard and informed as their matter progresses. 

Outside of work, Miranda enjoys swimming, water sports, and weekends at the beach with her dog.
